ABOUT THE VIDEO
A short while back, bp pulse opened up their LAX charging hub for a stress test and allowed folks to book time to try the site out. While there I met Ross O’Brien, who’s head of operations for bp pulse. He was very gracious and open to taking an interview.
ABOUT THE SHOOT
We encountered some issues with the audio on this one. Seems to be a theme. What’s important is that I’m pretty certain I’ve isolated the problem to an angled Lightning connector that sits between my Lighting USB/SD Card reader and my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Seems the adapter would move and with it, drop the storage being recorded to. We discovered this when the BlackMagic Camera app threw ‘Storage Disconnected’ errors. It also dropped our lavaliere mics. Fortunately I shoot with a backup mic (Rode Video Mic). This allowed me to salvage the footage in the latter part of the interview.
The good thing about failure is the opportunity to learn from it.
